GreenElephant and the EU AI Act
GreenElephant is a voluntary self-reflection and personal development platform. Individuals use it on themselves — no employer, institution, or third party receives outputs, scores, or evaluations. GreenElephant is not designed for hiring, candidate selection, automated employment performance evaluation, workplace emotion recognition, or biometric categorisation. These exclusions place GreenElephant firmly outside the EU AI Act's high-risk categories (Annex III, Regulation 2024/1689). It is classified as a minimal-risk AI system.
Prohibited uses
Users may not use GreenElephant tools, data, or outputs for hiring decisions, candidate ranking, automated performance reviews, or workplace surveillance. GreenElephant can be described as self-awareness as a service — ethical, AI-assisted personal development tools that augment human coaching, not replace it.
