What is Check-my-FLOW?

Check-my-FLOW is a free 5-minute self-assessment based on Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi's 1988 flow model. It measures your perceived Motivation, Challenge, and Competence in a specific communication situation or context.

Your Flow Zone

Flow: high challenge, high competence, high motivation — optimal engagement and peak performance. Challenge/Stress: high challenge, low competence — anxiety, overwhelm, pressure. Comfort: low challenge, high competence — safe but potentially stagnant. Danger/Apathy: low challenge, low competence — disengagement risk.

How to use your results

Understanding your flow zone helps you make intentional choices about where to invest your energy. If you are in Challenge/Stress, you may need skill development or support. If you are in Comfort, you may need a new challenge to re-engage. Use your flow zone results as a conversation starter with a coach.
